It's an online employment source where you basically sell your services to anyone who needs them in exchange for payment through a system called Escrow. I have no experience of using either Escrow or PPH and I was wondering if anyone here could give me any personal observations on it.

I got accepted by a marketing company yesterday to do some writing and proof reading and am waiting for further instructions from the MD about how we proceed. Money has been deposited in my Escrow account ahead of me actually producing some work but, at this stage, I am feeling slightly anxious about the validity of it all. PPH has lots of endorsements and reviews from people who have used it but until I have used it myself I can only view it with caution.

Any comments from anyone on this would be very welcome. I wouldn't be stupid enough to pay any money up front in exchange for promises of paid work and there has been no suggestion of that yet. Hopefully it is all entirely above board and there is nothing to worry about

Hi, I have used it before and found it okay once if I'd been offered the job.

Money is deposited into the escrow account which is basically what PayPal is, and it sits there until the job is confirmed as completed.

I think they run payments once a week so you get paid relatively quickly.

It seems to be well run and I didn't have any disputes at all, used it about 5 or 6 times.

Can't see why you would have any issues at all with it.

Thanks for that Lee - very reassuring. It's just natural suspicion/caution clicking in I suppose. Until I have got the first job done and paid for I can't help thinking that something will go wrong. Hopefully everything will be fine and the worst that could happen is that I would complete a project and not get paid for it. The company appear to have a good background though so hopefully all will be well

I have worked for people on there, started about 3 years ago, although now "rent a slave" would be more appropriate so I don't bother with it anymore

I've used it, but only managed to win a couple of jobs. Paid very quickly though and no complaints.

I suppose just like in the real world of work there are good paying jobs and bad paying jobs. I just thought it was worth a look seeing as I have time on my hands at the moment
