RE: Roll on July 1st. You won't be able to walk through a door without a gaggle of people having a ***.
..the term 'ciggies' is a very feeble attempt to trivialise a dirty, disgusting habit that not only threatens the smokers lives but those in the smokers vicinity.....................................and here endeth todays sermon.
RE: And hopefully after that Good call..............and also an additional fine for drivers who then throw their 'ciggies' out of the car window ( 6 month suspended jail sentence). (blaze)
Aye, it's almost 18months now since I stopped smoking and I don't regret it one single bit. Hopefully, July 1st will encourage others to stop too
They're considering that at the moment aren't they? I saw something on sky news where they debated it and the smokers complained that it would be taking away their right to smoke. I'll be using the same theory while i'm in the outside lane of a motorway whilst eating a mcdonalds and using my mobile phone.
Black Hole? But what will fill the black hole of the loss of tax due to massive drop's in cigarette sales? I hope it get's put onto Car drivers. Lazy f@ckers majority of them, cause more pollution than any cig I know.
probably fill the gap by not having to pay to treat them all on the nhs coupled with the money businesses will save from employees who think that being an addict means they are allowed as many paid breaks as they want
Never smoked! Never will! but just because people smoke does not make them bad people. "I can think of worse habits, quote Willy Wonka. I am sick of this witch hunt against smokers, and as for the NHS argument, I work in the NHS and where would it be without the revenue from "smokers"? I know lets stop treating all the junkies, fat people and anyone else who happens to fall foul of the judgmental, holier than thou brigade. Perhaps if the NHS had not squandered millions of tax payers money on "choose and book" then it might have a bit to spare to treat the ill, elderly and genuinely worse off in society.
a wa being serious i hate folks that call cigs "ciggies" am a smoker me sen like, a dint expect a barrage er anti smoking, nay, smokers must die style abuse.
well said lovely person agree more. previous retort werent meant for thy post it were cos a were reading it at time and got distracted by a passing fatty tranna get signatures for his 'anti-tobacco - all for heart disease via kebabs and pizzas which is better than the odd ciggie' petition
RE: a wa being serious i hate folks that call cigs "ciggies" i don't usally rant on here for obvious reasons, (the snipers who wait in the wings), can't be bothered most of the time, but as I said, let's have a bit less judgementality and holier than thou attitude, live and let live, smoking is a destructive, smelly habit, but IT DOES NOT MAKE PEOPLE BAD PEOPLE! In twenty odd years in the front line of the NHS, I have never had to treat anyone who had been mugged, burgulared (?spelling) for the sake of a "***", but I have been involved with many who have innocently had their lives changed by drugs, alcohol and the results of a diet of crap, chemically enhanced food.
that OK, your last reply made me laugh after a really strange shift, that's why I'm still up. Human nature never ceases to amaze me, whatever happened to compassion? We should learn from everything that happens to us, but to be honest the ego's of some on here make me wonder. Live a good life we all bleed red!
RE: a wa being serious i hate folks that call cigs "ciggies" these that moan abart smokers er usually them that ent really got much else to do - if tha dunt want to smoke, dunt, if tha dunt want to go to a place weer tha knows folks erl be smoking (i.e pub), dunt, an if thy hates it that much then why not challenge anybody thy ivver see's smoking to purrit art rather than being all righteous and high an mighty on a bleeding annomynous internet mesage booerd! so theer
