People who've played/completed the FM08 demo..

How did you do as Barnsley?</p>

Pretty happy with how I did, ended up in 8th at the end of the demo. Signed Matt Fryatt on loan (6 goals in 14 games) and Bjarni Vidarsson (4 games) but other than that, I went with what I had. Generally played 4-4-2 with Muller, Hassell, Souza, Nyatanga, Kozluk, Devaney, Howard, Togwell, McCann, Mostto, Fryatt. Subs: Ferenczi, Christensen, Ricketts, Campbell-Ryce, Foster/Bruma.</p>

Beat 2nd placed Coventry 5-1 and 3rd placed QPR 3-0, drew 1-1 at Bramall Lane to a 96th minute Naysmith equaliser and lost 1-0 at Hillsborough to a Jeffers goal. Beat Middlesbrough in the 2nd round of league cup but went out to Burnley. </p>

Best players have been Muller, (best defence in the league so far, conceding only 27 in 24, or something along those lines), Souza, Howard, Devaney and Mostto. Top scorer is Mostto with 12, Fryatt and Howard have 6 and Devaney has 5.</p>

Signed Anderson Silva from Everton for &pound;275k in January, made one appearance before the demo finished and seems like a cracking player.

Hows everyone done whos played it? I was contemplating not buying the game but think I will now, have enjoyed playing the demo.

Didnt do too bad, got annoyed after a while, with the game engine refusing to close down opposition players. The players in the squad do seem very capable, and mostto has some really quality stats.

Its a bit too easy as BFC boss these days.</p>

It washarder when the game programmers thought we were utter *****.</p>

 

im considering going to buy it on friday.. how much is it?

 

I started it with Barnsley, played about 3 games in the league and then decided to go back to my FM07 game for a while.
Didn't want to get into it too much, knowing it would end in January.



Don't know whether to get it ordered now or wait a couple of months..

as ive just said finished 2nd, would be first but for goal difference. mostto scored 19 in 24 games.quality player!
McCann also a gd player scored 11 goals up till the demo finishing.
muller,campbell ryce, devaney, mcCann, mostto, christensen, souza are all good aswell
played a 41212 formation.only signed roy o'donovan on loan from sunderland. hes a good player to sign on loan!

Danny Haynes

is the best signing I made. Managed to get him on loan and he scored around 15 in 11 or something. I tried to get Fryatt but he went somewhere else.

Christensen is a brilliant target man, wins all the flick ons and is perfect for Haynes.

Ended up finishing in 8th as well.
