David Nugent and Simon Whaley came from the Bury academy, now the two best players at promotion-chasing Preston.

I would like to hope our assistant manager who came from Bury knows his talent.

    Fair enough if he didn't..

But they have a habit of developing good young players. You know what I mean anyway - we need to see him before we write him off as a crap attempt.

Our assistant manager will know far more about him than we do.

completely agree with you on that one - it's ridiculous to write players off because they play in the lower leagues - carlos edwards for example was picked up by luton, from wrexham and they have just sold him for well over a million quid and there are countless other examples.

i have always tried to remain pretty optimistic but unless there are big changes to the team then I can't see us staying up, but then i don't think Ritchie should have got the sack.

If he is only worth £25,000, why do we think he will be good enough to play in the Championship? Surely we are aiming a bit higher than that !!!!!
