we are only 2 points clear. 1 really if you take our GD into acount. anything can happen, dont underestimate Dennis Wise.
Leeds won't go down....
maybe Hull or Leicester. Leeds can't go down to Division Three..... too big a club.

I agree, still plenty to do! The optimism comes from having a team that seems to be fighting for their lives, but if results go against us on Saturday we are back in the bottom three. Looking at the run in, we really should survive now, but I cant help feeling there's more agony to come. I enjoyed the results from yesterday for a few hours, then started to worry again. Bugger. Thats life as a Barnsley fan I guess.
Division 1 could do with Leeds and Leicester in it, along with Notts Forest as well , could turn into a league with decent grounds in it.
i agree mate, folk are in for a shock if they think we are already there, past history tells you barnsley never do anything straight forward.
Dont think we are there, as the points on the table show, but looking at the remaining games even the most pessimistic of reds fans have got to say we have the best chance out of all the teams down there. And you have got to enjoy days like yesterday.
I don't think we are already safe Just think we took a big step closer to it yesterday and I think 1 more win will be enough, 2 for certain as that would leave both Leeds AND Hull needing to win all their remaining games.
Not many believe that surely we can still easily go down - the only thing we can say with any certaintly is we wont finish bottom
you assume that people are acting as if we are already safe. well chum, I think you are wrong in your assumption. I believe that people are so pleased with the last two results that they find it difficult to hide their feelings and excitement please do'nt get yourself confused between those positive feelings and false beliefs.
Last saturday, some people were acting as if we were already down Apparently, it was all out of our hands and were were doomed! As things stand, we have a decent chance of avoiding relegation.
RE: Last saturday, some people were acting as if we were already down It all depends who wants it more, no team wants relegation, but Hull ( according to reports) were very jittery yesterday playing at home. Leeds won, but the Burnley manager says they deserved to win. Leicester's fans are already preparing for 1st division football. So we have a decent chance now with two home games next. or have we? Personally i hope the two remaining home matches are not to over hyped, putting to much expectations on the team. It's all getting a bit frantic, and my heart and soul want the Reds to stay up, but like so many other fans, there will be more twists and turns before this manic season is closed. (chinny)
