Just got back, and I have seen the type of performance that makes me proud to support my team, just like the game at Bradford we looked like a team. Everyone on the field put a shift in and was playing for the shirt, all willing to put their bodies on the line when necessary. It may not have been the most pleasing on the eye, Port Vale were a decent team, one of the best I have seen this season but everyone stuck to their task, some under extreme provocation. Ivan Toney was not given any protection from a referee who lost control of the game within the first 10 minutes, how the game finished 11 aside I'm not sure. He took an almighty battering from their number 26 all game and then Michael Brown came on to try and provoke him into getting sent off. How the Referee and Assistant missed the blatant kick on him I don't know! After a performance like that it maybe unfair to single anyone out, but I will!!! I thought George Williams and Marc Roberts were immense, in fact I think they have been for the last few games I have seen. Anyway now on to Wembley and the Head Coach has some choices to make if everyone is available. I hope they can all get their feet up now and rest and get ready to put another shift in equal to todays!!
im glad to hear that and im really impressed with the lads, these are the gritty results that mean much more when you look back at the whole season. well done to them all, and even if we were lucky, i dont care becase that also happens to us enough times.
