    Good to see Perkins back

Especially if they're as weak down the middle as rumored. Perkins is first to every 2nd ball which is something we've missed the last few games. Would like to have seen Davies get another go, but I suppose he isn't fully fit, but he's only going to get fitness with games under his belt.

    COME ON YOU REDS ! ! ! ! !

I'm disappointed with that. Too defensive in my opinion. If Perkins is playing on the wing like he did earlier in the season it's a waste of a player. Hope Hill has got it right.

    Come on you Reds.

Hope he's not playing Perkins out wide.

Just thinking that myself. Cant see another wide man other than O Brien. Only other option would be Doyle to right back and Wiseman to right wing but can't really see that tbh.

Or Butterfield out there, 'drifting' in. Wiseman do all the running down the right.

    3 subs after 45 minutes

Maybe if we'd been a bit more adventurous from the start and put out a team that would cause Cardiff some problems we probably wouldn't have had to do that. We may have lost anyway, but at least we wouldn't have entered the field waving a white flag.

Davies set up the first goal on Tuesday, Vaz Te scored the second, yet neither striker was selected in this game, replaced by another midfielder. That's running scared for me.

And the selection has proved disastrous, mainly I think to accommodate Perkins. Bad move by Hillcroft.

Got to disagree there a touch

Davies might have set up the goal on Tuesday, but he had a nightmare really trying to play as a winger, and his confidence was all over the place by the end of the game, nevermind his fitness levels.

Not sure I agree with selecting Perkins, but nothing wrong with starting the game playing the same system that has served us so well for 8 games or so.

The system is ok but we've seen that Perkins is wasted out wide.

Still in it at min, we can get summat

I don't know how you can accommodate Perkins and still play the same way as we have been doing. Perkins is yet another central midfield player, who earlier in the season looked awful out on the wing.

I agree. Either drop Doyle for Perkins or play Butterfield wide

But we offered absolutely nothing on the wing with Davies for the last 20 minutes of the first half on Tuesday though.

Assuming you start with the same system, I wouldn't expect that one replacement to have such a detrimental effect.
