Why are their so many crap posts slating butterfield he was not the worst player second half. Perkins and mcnulty were shocking! Second half looked like men against boys they bullied us. We are awful at dedending set pieces. Imo ranger looked good when he came on.

Agreed, completely over run in midfield, I could not believe the amount of space Ipswich had.

Dont dare say anything bad about Perkins. He is fantastic. I know because when I said that I didnt think he was that great, I was told he is fantastic and the first name on the team sheet. So I must have been wrong.

Danny Drinkwater had to go off so we can bring on another 'enforcer' type in Doyle... er oh no we can't.

just proves what an influence Drinkwater has . But we have played well without him before, so why go to pieces like tonight is beyond my comprehension.

Butterfield and Perkins are great when up against small midfields that give them space to play like Donnie did.
They were completely overrun in the second half

True , but they just seemed to give up, Butterfield looked lovely in the first half, then he seemed totally dis-interested second half. strange for the captain really.

Undoubtedly. I don't agree with it, but you've got to admit that they pulled it off.

My thoughts exactly, the only straw I can clutch at for the second half performance is that the midfielders had all taken some stick from their players, including some dreadfull tackles, that they ran out of steam in the second half, cos in my humble opinion I think midfield is where we lost it. Just my opinion like. Any way taxis here time to drown my sorrows big time.

The team fell asleep and lost It's shape and Ipswitch took full advantage the way we play this will probably happen again. I don't think any one player is to blame have said that Perkins is still the first name on the team sheet MM.

I still disagree, but everyone can have their own opinion, which is how it should be anyway, not always possible on here.

Having Drinkwater at the side of him makes him a better player he has too much to do against a strong midfied with Butterfield at the side of him.

We missed Drinkwater and couldn't replace like for like, having said that the whole midfield were woeful in the second half as were the rest of the team.
