Photos mysteriously lost in a fire (of my own making).

    Mental picture tho.

15 years old, heroes Alex Lifeson of Rush and that nutty German Michael Schenker. Both long blonde flowing permed rock-god hair.

Got the girlfriends mum to try same on me after growing barnet for about a year.

Came out like Michael Jackson's 'Fro when he was black, and a bit more yellowy than the natural blonde I was before.

School, next day. Double maths, with everyone snigg ering, maths teacher waded in with "and can you answer that one Shirley Temple?"

    Character building.

    Hee hee. You silly sod.

In the 80s I had my fringe bleached. Not all my hair, just the fringe. What a nob sack.

I copied all of Gazza's haircuts as a youth. Except the perm, funnily enough.

I still copy his haircut if I'm honest. Well, it's similar in it's lack of actual hair.

Ha Ha, better to have tried it, than had to think "wish I had bleached my fringe white, whilst leaving the rest of my hair it's normal hue". Got to try these things, sometimes they might just work. Or not!

No. My dad wouldn't let me. Had to make do with that exact shirt instead, from Meadowhall. And a McDonald's.
