we need stability. Sir Alex Ferguson was hounded by the fans in his early Man Utd days, but he has emerged to be arguably the best club manager of all time, and that was hard for me to say.David Moyes at Everton had a very rocky beginning there, Everton are in fantastic shape now. Crewe have been a very up and down erratic side over the years, but Dario Gradi is/was very highly respected.I admit the performances may well have affected crowds, but also the economic climate has had a bigger effect on that too.If we go down to division 2 then so be it.But we will hopefully still be around financially. I think the fans of Darlington and Scarboro would swap places with us right now. Also take a look at clubs like Newport County,Accrington Stanley to name but 2 they went under once and it took a hell of a long time for them to get back again. If this is all about getting our books balanced and on a sound financial footing then we will just have to accept it and get on with it.Ok its every fans right to Praise or Grumble. But we do at least have a team to praise or grumble at.Just remember we did go into admin a few years ago, mull that over seriously, we could easily have gone under right there right then, and we came very close too I believe.I am a miserable bugger on a very often basis , that I do know. But even this "Meldrew" would rather have a Barnsley FC at any level in the pyramid than have no Barnsley FC at all.
Re: Personally I want Kieth Hill to remain as our manager, even if we go down, because The big difference is that Sir Alex had a track record of winning that is far better than Keef's Not that I'm saying we should get shut. At this momemt in time I really could not care less TBH.
Re: Personally I want Kieth Hill to remain as our manager, even if we go down, because I just want him to shut the **** up and do the job he's he's paid to do...........I've just realised why Keith is moaning about his budget and quality of players available to him all the time.....he isn't being paid ,he's doing the job on an unpaid intern basis......it all makes sense now
Re: Personally I want Kieth Hill to remain as our manager, even if we go down, because I'd rather stability meant staying in this division no matter who was in charge, rather than keeping Hill even if we go down thus losing about four million pounds a year.
do you seriously for one minute think Kieth Hill is being paid nothing for managing BFC. If so then you have the correct avatar....a CLOWN
Re: Personally I want Kieth Hill to remain as our manager, even if we go down, because Does Sir Alex ever shut up? Come on now, you were probably one of those complaining about the interview 'technique' of Messrs. Hodge, Davey and Hart.
Re: seemingly you have missed my point My point is i'd rather us stay in this league no matter who is in charge so the budget doesn't have to be slashed next summer by millions of pounds.
Re: Personally I want Kieth Hill to remain as our manager, even if we go down, because I wasn't actually.......does Ferguson moan he can't sign Messi or hold onto Ronaldo every week
Re: Personally I want Kieth Hill to remain as our manager, even if we go down, because True but Keith doesn't get given 30 million to go out and replace the likes of butterfield etc - then again to be fair neither does any other manager. He knew the situation before he started so needs to get on - I think he'll be a good manager but he needs results because unfortunately that's what you get judged by
Re: Personally I want Kieth Hill to remain as our manager, even if we go down, because Alex ferguson has, in my opinion, had the easiest job in club football at Manchester United.
