**** Easter. We aren't going down. We have some good players signed to the club. We have a promising manager, who could well be our next Clarke / Hunter / Wilson. We need to give him next season to have a real go. .
Add in the fact that six weeks ago it looked like finishing 18th would be an achievement. Not the end of the world. That said, I doubt there will ever be an easier season to get into the League One play offs. So with perspective, there's no disaster here, just a massive missed opportunity.
Never really thought we were good enough for playoffs anyway. Our form during the 6 match winning run was never convincing. A big summer ahead where some good recruitment & culling of the existing squad is required. Just hope we finish strongly to help shift a few STs.
Agree. I really hope we ACTUALLY work at promoting our young players & finally stop this loan system crap. A few loans are necessary, & ones that could lead to a full time signing are very wise. The rest should only be stop gaps, otherwise we will never progress.
Just to put the game into perspective today it did look like a nailed on Pen first half when Hourihane was brought down and Winnalls disallowed effort looked onside to me.
