To stay up providing we dont lose to Southend! Cant see Leeds getting anymore than 6 points from the last 4 games with 2 of those been at Southampton and Derby. Southend should beat Luton, hopefully Plymouth wont be thinking about the beach by then and then they go to Southampton on last day. Could do with the Saints still needing a win on the last day! All of a sudden Southampton have become my 2nd team!

    YYYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RRREEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hull City could get dragged back in big style if they lose with Colchester.

Here's hoping! Colchester still got a chance of play offs if they win again!

Hull's next 3 games Colchester/Stoke/Cardiff! All 3 with still a great chance of the play offs!

They will struggle big time. Maybe 1 point. Are two of them at home?

I think we need 7 points to take us to 51

you can never legislate for what happens in the final few games as teams are desperate for the points.

    The BBC Predictor

I think we are going to need 7 points as well and get to that 51 point mark myself.

I have used the bbc predictor:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/predictor/default.stm

and worked out the rest of the results for the season, I have been negative and gone for a lose to Southend followed by a draw, a win and a draw, According to my predictions WBA would be in the play offs by the last game and should rest some players. I was also generous with Leeds, Hull and Southend. Once I had finished filling in the predictions Barnsley had finished 2nd bottom and relegated by 1 point :|

If I change that Southend game to a win we stay up by 2 points :) it just shows how important the Southend game is, it really could make the difference and is possibly the biggest 6 point for us in some time.

    RE: The BBC Predictor

When I did the predictor about three weeks ago, I always got us staying up. This was largely not due to being optimistic about our results, but realistic about those of other teams. On the other hand, I did not predict that Leeds would beat Plymouth (I thought draw), nor QPR beating Preston (draw) and Coventry (home win). Results can be odd at this time of year and I am not sure that there is that much difference between the playing styles and quality of the top and the bottom. I still think that we will do it on the basis of the difficult games of other teams, but, is West Brom have to beat us to get into the play-offs and Southampton don't need to beat Leeds, then it could be a queasy afternoon on the last day of the season. I though we would dip into the relegation slot after Birmingham, whom I did not predict we would beat, but then bob out again in the following weeks. Key games are at home to Crystal Palace and Leicester. Keep the faith!!

i agree with most of that but Leeds play Derby last day

    and Southampton play Southend.

I reckon a lot depends on the position of WBA , Southampton and Derby on last day - at the moment it looks like we will have the best fixture.

But you're right, it really is in our own hands in that we have got Palace and Leicester at home still to play.
