Just wondered if anyone who saw the match yesterday noticed this guy. I used to coach him at Under 14 level, then he left our school to go to Lilleshall as one of the chosen top 16 footballers in the country. He was Everton for quite a few years, but never really made the grade or given the chance to, then Blackpool, now Southend. Was very highly rated, always rather hoped he would play for us one day. Any opinions?
can't comment on how he's done foe Southend, but he was immense for blackpool. their player of the year 2 years running. scores goals and one of the best defenders in lg1 now. Suffered at southend being in and out of a crap team, but i wouldnt mind at all if took him of their hands.
