Signed for Rotherham. Listen to his interview with Radio Sheffield. He's well known for being a typical, modern day footballer, a bit of a mercenary. He wouldn't admit that picking Rotherham was a no brainer as he could have gone to Bolton who are hoping to be in the Championship next season, so he'll reassess his options in January. But Rotherham signing him was a no brainer for Rotherham because he is a good player at this level. That is the gist of what he said. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
Rotherham United. Oh dear. A squad of aged journeyman footballers with no re-sale value. Short term thinking.
In fairness to them, the majority of their signings made earlier in the summer were younger players. Looks like they've panicked again with this signing though, similar to the Blackstock signing. Destined for League One.
Reminds me of the time we brought in frimpong, shea ect. Panick buying has been players who are only there for the final pay day. Hope we never go down that route again.
When Colin didn't sign up to another season their fate was sealed. He was the only one saving them from the drop last season.
You have to wonder why he hasn't got a club by now- one suspects a gap between his own perceived worth and the perception of teams in the championship. He always struck me as high maintenance, probably another factor behind his unemployment.
