https://www.pne-online.net/forum/index.php?threads/please-remove-peter-ridsdale.3433913/ Looking like the wheels are coming off over at PNE . Seems like they ve been over spending and not getting very much in return . Only a few years ago they swooped in for Brad Potts at 1.5 million but by the looks of things those days are long gone due to FFP . Could be an early contender for the bottom 3 this season .
As I noted earlier that idiot has just been given a position on the EFL board. What a joke. Surely there is someone with a better CV than Ridsdale. Perhaps I will apply next time there is a vacancy. I have experience as chairman, treasurer and manager of a football club.
https://theathletic.com/news/peter-ridsdale-leeds-efl/gLORmshTIkC6 It gets worse , recently elected to the EFL board or so the article above notes . It also refers to ridsdale s time at the reds as "positive " . Mmmmmm
My Mum used to always tell me “If you’ve nothing nice to say don’t say anything!” I’m pretty sure Gordon Shepherd will have a different story.
The thread title has just triggered Micky Finn. I won’t miss Preston if they drop. I can’t think of a another team that has consistently beaten us while managing to lose to any promotion/relegation rivals we have had.
Maybe I should. I have a history of unpaid high interest loans, debt management, compulsive gambling, credit cards and bankruptcy. Sign me up tomorrow .
I don't know how (or why) they signed Scott Sinclair from Celtic. Reported to be on £32K a week when at Celtic and you couldn't see him moving for anything less. Preston sign him and unsurprisingly he does very little for that vast wage.
Bloke that supplies the fish tanks lives on my street,It's a great business and he's done very well out of it.
They are owned by Trevor Hemmings who's a billionaire, so I would say he's to blame for finances as he's top of the tree.
Last three years accounts show losses of: 19/20 -£7.7m 18/19 -£12.3m 17/18 +£1.9m They may be skint but well within FFP. Just shows how bonkers the rules are.
Interestingly, I heard Brad Potts was actually involved in formulating strategy. Here he is at a blue sky think tank session:
