Péter Simek (born January 30, 1980 in Mór) is a Hungarian football player, currently under contract with FCU Politehnica Timisoara. He generally plays as an attacking midfielder right. After debuting in 1997 at Videoton, he moved to Gázszer FC in 1999, where he stayed for two seasons. Vasas SC was next to buy him. With his new team, Simek managed to reach the UEFA Cup. His career peak was still ahead of him and it occurred at Újpest FC. While at the Budapest based club, Simek earned himself the first call-up at the Hungary national football team. However, he didn't continue at Ujpest, despite three successful seasons there, and returned to his first club, now called Videoton Fehérvár. Although plagued by an injury before the 2005/2006 season, Simek managed to impress as soon as he returned on the pitch and attracted the attention of Poli Timisoara, who bought him for 480.000 dollars. Simek currently has 9 caps for the Hungarian National football team. oh and kubichek are support to cooper temple clause on there tour just now !! on in pompey 2 weeks time.... fantastic .....

On trial whilst the end of the season With a view to being signed for 2007/08 season . Predominately a right sided midfield player . From Official Site: HUNGARIAN INTERNATIONAL MIDFIELDER GETS EXTENDED TRIAL AT OAKWELL <img src ="http://www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImages/1d/42/0,,10309~3162653,00.jpg"> BARNSLEY manager Simon Davey will hand an extended trial to Hungarian international midfielder Péter Simek as he looks to plan for next season at Oakwell. Péter started his professional career with Hungarian side Videoton, making nine first team appearances, before joining Gazszser in 1998. He made 39 appearances and earned a move to Vasas during the 1999/2000 campaign. After two seasons with Vasas, during which he clocked up 61 games and six goals, Péter moved again to Ujpest FC in 2002. His displays during his time at Ujpest earned him his first international call in 2003 and he spent two more years with the club, making 76 appearances and hitting eleven goals. Predominately right sided, Péter moved again in 2005, linking up with FC Fehervar in Hungary, making 17 appearances before signing for Romanian side Poli Timisoara during the 2005/2006 season. The 27-year-old made his international bow in November 2003 as a second half substitute against Estonia. He then made his full debut for Hungary in February 2004 in the clash with Romania. He has also featured against Japan, Brazil, Scotland, Croatia, Iceland, Slovakia and Saudi Arabia. Péter has won nine international caps to date. Reds boss Simon Davey told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "Péter will come in and train with us until the end of the season. "He has a good pedigree and we will be able to take a long look at him both in training and hopefully in the reserves before making a decision for next year".
Simek Turns Down Loan By Kevin Markey Friday 3rd September 2004 HUNGARIAN international Peter Simek has turned down a loan move to Leeds. Simek, who plays for Ujpest in his home country, made an impression during Hungary's 3-0 friendly win over Scotland last month. The midfielder was keen to move to England but Leeds' financial position meant they could only offer a four-month loan deal, which was not long enough for the player. http://www.leedsutd-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews.asp?cid=TMNW&id=175239
