Came with a game plan and it worked

    Diagnals isolating defenders.

    Marking Melis out the game

Packing the midfield so we came too narrow then finding space on the wings.

You've got to say well done to them for that but we've got to learn from this because it will happen again. Maybe we could look at 433 too .

The trouble we have is that we rely on one plan, if that fails we are knackered. It happened last season and now we have been ot tele its happening again. We really need to be able to alter our gamepla for when the opponents work us out and that is where we are falling down again.

and what worries me more than anything is that this was the bottom team who had lost every single game before Satdy. As the season goes on, what will the promotion teams do if they also come with an effective gameplan ?

    What like Blackpool or Boro.

Thats not what footballs like. Sometimes its the teams near the bottom that cause you the most trouble. They where always likely to be confident tonight. I see Ipswich got a point against Brighton. Palace beat wolves.

I couldnt care less what Wolves & Brighton did tonight Hemsworth, they are irrelevant to me.

Barnsley have an appalling record over the years against these poor teams who just happen to be lower than us in the table, and how much longer can we keep just dismissing it as 'it happens' ?

Dont quote me on things that I havent said/posted. Where have I said I expected us to do well EVERY week ?

It wasnt even the result tonight, its the fact that even our own fans have been saying we were battered in the first half and we just didnt have a clue. And my point is this was against a poor bottom of the table team again. how many times do the teams who finish in the bottom five end up doubling us or taking at least 4 points off us in a season ?

Which is pretty much the same game plan as Ipswich

so I'd imagine the game plan is going to be a popular one this season - is there a plan B?

exactly, both ipswich and peterborough came with a gameplan and we couldnt play. tonight it was obvious we needed a change in formation because our attacking threat was pretty much non existent! where was that plan b???

Gotta hand it to them. Could easily have won by four or five with the amount of good chances they had. Every single diagonal ball to the back post seemed to be won by them.
