    Peugeot everytime mate

I used to have a Peugeot 306 Turbo Diesel. Far superior to Vauxhall engines IMO.

Peugeot diesals have a very good reputation.
Mind you, my BMW 320tD (2004) engine has gone caput. Conrods bent? Meaning new £6k engine required.
So you can be unlucky whatever you buy.

If you're after a small diesel that's economical but has some poke, add the Seat Ibiza to your shortlist.

Bear in mind that diesels are only economical once the engine warms up and so if its average journey will be less than 10 miles, a small-engined petrol may suit better.

I got a 206 1.4 Hdi just b4 christmas. £35 a year road tax, around 50 mpg. A resonable top speed considering engine size.

    RE: Peugeot everytime mate

If you are getting a Vauxhall diesel, try to get one with the Isuzu engine, lots better than the others.

50 miles to a gallon, some say between 60 and 65 could be because yours is a new car.

05 plate. Could probably get more if I drove it a bit more sedately. Trouble down here is too many bloody hills usually with tractors half way up them.

    Dont mention electrics

Peugeot electrics made me miss an England game at Wembley. We played Hudders away the night before and my 405 died on me outside the ground. So much for all whistles and bells! Electric windows are just about all I go for now.
