    Yes, but will it make a difference ?.........I think not, until we get........

    the centre forward situation sorted out i.e. one, better still two, tall centre forwards
    OR
    we stop using tactics thats based on playing pretty football to create space on the wing and then hoofing it high into the box for Odejayi to latch on to


    Bringing someone in thats a better supply line is not going to solve owt unless we sort the problems out in attack

    but Y.N. your suggestions are a little way out good buddy. You seem to think that Davey is able to add a commonsense value to a game. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Davey's thoughts and schemata are at odds with the rest of the human race. What might be obvious to us would not be so with this clown.

    Both Coventry and PNE scored against the run of play............WHY WAS THAT !!!

    Barnsley dominated both matches in the early parts...........we were the better team at the start of both of these matches
    But we didn't score !!!
    We kept on hoofing it up to Odejayi and from this the possesion of the ball was continually being lost

    AND THE OPPOSITION LOOKS AT THIS STYLE OF PLAY- and they look at Odejayi and realise.........Barnsley aint going to score against us today

    Straight away that opposition team gets a boat load of confidence.............on both occasions, first attack they have and they score

    When what should be happening is this...............we dominate from the start of the match........and through this domination WE SCORE..........consequently confidence drains from the opposition and we go on to dominate even further and score more goals


    Its all about confidence
    The midfield and defence at Barnsley must be sick to death of being told to hoof it high to Odeyai only to see the ball coming staright back at them

    the other solution

    is to realise that football isnt as simple as tall player = target man. Odejayis strength is recieving crosses yet how many do we put in to him? We dont because davey goes ooo tall player, must be target man lets launch the ball up to him. He's done it with every tall striker we've had since he took over

    Sorry - Ive just seen this.

    Im taking it from the comment 'Odejayi's strength is recieving crosses' that you werent at the Preston game?

    Are you suggesting that in 80 games Odejayi has had only 5 crosses put in to him?

    He should have had double that against Preston.

    Plus that header he only only he could have knocked wide un-challenged.
