Hard to take seriously an England team with the likes of Phil Jones, Fabien Delph, Phil Jagielka and Chris Smalling in it.

The rest barely pass muster as well, apart from odd flashes.

And Italy. Remember when you could watch an England V Italy match and know the names of all the Italians. All top class internationals. Now you look at it and think.....who?

While ever we've got Woy in charge I'm afraid we're not going no where, he's probably a lovely bloke but he's not national manager material. We've won 7 games on bounce that we'd probably beat....what's even our style of football these days?

Doesn't matter who the manager is.

We don't have enough decent players at international level. Full stop.

    Support #TGBFC ....

Phil Jones is the very worst player ever to wear the England shirt, and there has been some ***** along the years.

Complete opposite. We've always had the players to be getting to at least finals in the last 10 years, the one major factor in why we havent is the endless stream of incompetent managers employed by the FA.

We have no world class players though Hart comes close and probably haven't since Ashley Cole (for his many faults) was in his prime. Some folks read too many red tops and believe the ***** written about our players. For a few years we had a team that could qualify for quarter finals and expect to lose no better no worse. Now we are probably good enough for last 16.

Got to agree these are not international players ..........Phil Jones, Fabien Delph, Phil Jagielka and Chris Smalling

However, we have players that are (Jon Stones for one) - and at the moment we look very very good especially going forward

If we can sort out a settled central defence then we have the makings of a good team

Terry too slow to ever be world class. Hyped by the press.

Ferdinand nowhere near world class. Hyped by the press because he played for Manure.

I can probably name 5 better Spanish Centre halves than those two (let alone the Italian ones) and one English one in Sol Campbell a better player than either but just felt short of having that extra bit of something that separates decent internationals like say Rooney from the world class like Ronaldo.

Lampard just a better Neil Redfearn. Good goalscorer. Fantastic league player. Not in the class of the Spanish or German midfielders he played against too many deficiencies in his overall game.

Gerrard. If he had ever translated his best club form in the way that say Iniesta or Messi have in internationals then he could have been the player who would have won tournaments or got us to finals on his own as that's what world class players do. Unfortunately he could never impose himself against the top international teams in this way so again no.
