I have an old sony ericsson T68i (triband) phone locked to vodafone. I know that unlocking it is a real pain - with no easy workaround. Missus is off to the states next month and her O2 phone isnt tri-band. I know her sim doesnt work with this phone in the UK but would it work in the US? or does the lock apply worldwide.

    Anyone know?

    Think it's worldwide

No use to you in Hampshire I know, but I got my Sony Ericsson T610 unlocked at a place on Sheffield Road for a fiver. Might be a place near you that's as cheap.</p>
