Anyone been to a music concert there ? Is it all seating, if so - do you get seat numbers allocated when you buy. Or is it standing. What is it like a music venue - is it small, and what are the accoustics like TIA
aint been within the last 5 years prior to that it was experience not to be missed. Maybe all done up now tho
Cheers Dave. thinking about going to see my favourite band (Magnum) as a teenager (25 years ago) and they looked old then. Bet they're in their sixties now !
yeah. was looking at the pictures of the balocny etc. looks strange for a music venue. can't belive those booking fees - almost £4 for a £18 ticket. With postage mages it about £22 a ticket, to see a band that have had one top 40 hit in about 1988. Robin gits
I've been went to see John Otway There's seating about halfway back, front half is standing, although for Otway they had tables and chairs there. The seating was unreserved, it was just a general admission ticket so you could sit or stand if you wanted. Small place, acoustics are good
Thanks - do u know if the seats were preallocated, or were they just there for those who didnt want to stand at the front, and you sat where u wanted
I saw them about 4 times in mid to late 80s. Still one of my fave bands, despite usually preferring something a bit harder (Maiden, ACDC etc)
Seats have been taken out Standing only. Edit: Just remembered, there is a single row of seats on the balcony (first come first served), but that's about it.

It has a capacity of about 550 and is a great venue.
Seen the Stranglers last month, and the Damned there several times and its one of my favourite placed to gig.
Good sound quality. Good beer.
No seating and they have built a new balcony.

Spooky that! I was just looking at the website yesterday and contemplating going to see Magnum. Saw them years ago at the Octigon in Sheffield and at Sheff City Hall, can't believe they're still going!! They were great live though.
