I like the paragraph when talking about Shearer and Blackburn: "Rovers would represent a hazardous first job in management for the BBC pundit in that they are a small-time club who have over-achieved and may have peaked. Wednesday, with far bigger potential, are seen as an outfit who can only go in one direction and that is up." Someone remind them that their massive club just achieved an average of over 20,000 and they haven't been in Europe since the early nineties. http://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/sport/Shearer-manager-link-to-Sheffield.4181370.jp
"an outfit who can only go in one direction and that is up" They came close to going in the opposite direction last season. They do have a point though, higher expectation at Blackburn given their recent history whereas at Wednesday anything would be an improvement for them over the ***** they've had over recent years!
Wish they had gone down.... would have shut up their big headed supporters with their big club attitudes, unfortunately for us we now have another team in this league with fans that have the same attitudes....little Wednesdays, also known as Doncaster Rovers. Here's hoping Wednesdayites mess up yet another takeover.
They should change their name to "Sheffield Potential FC".... ....... cos it's fecking mentioned everytime they are, useless big-headed tossers who can't even talk reight
