    As bad as we might feel and look to others right now, we're not Doncaster, which is worth remembering. It's hard for me to dislike them, or take umbridge with Donny though. I just don't see them as rivals. I remember when they were a non league outfit and we were Premier League. I used to cheer them on in their promotion days. Especially when they beat Leeds in the playoffs.

    Fair play though, they've been near enough on a par with us the last few years. In what is widely accepted as our worst period for donkeys years, which says a lot.

    I wish them well, but we'll both be in this division next season I feel, and (putting the fake rivalry hat on borrowed off a deedar, for a moment) our gates are still better, and our away crowds, and we took more there than they brought (in caravans) here. :D

    I didn't read the thread though. No interest. But if they're being real nasty then someone call em cnuts for me.

    They've every right to gloat to be fair. We pissed ourselves when we signed Bailey and Turnbull from under their noses in close season, their board went into meltdown whilst we laughed at their silly accusations about breaking FFP. 8 months later, Bailey's nowhere to be seen, Ross is seemingly out of form (albeit has been decent for the majority of the season) and we're firmly looking over our shoulders without a manager whilst they're a team in form.

    Think that's about 6th time they've had crowds in the 5000s. JPS Trophy against Notts County crowd was 2500.

    I have no bad feelings towards doncaster, in fact I don't know one barnsley fan who sees them as a rival.

    Well they are going to love the fact that O'Driscoll is odds on - still.

    Apparently we already are formed of their 'cast offs'. Because in no way did they want to retain turnbull and sign bailey. Not at all.

    Add big Jean to that. He spent all summer training with them then came for talks with us and Dickov basically retracted any offer to sign him as a result.

    Embarrassing reading posts on here belittling Doncaster as some kind of small club and were its big neighbour .

    On the one hand some of you mock the massives in Sheffield for being attendance obsessed and then you act all mini massive yourselves

    I'm not seeing much difference between Doncaster and BFC at the moment
