That depends how you define history. Leeds United weren't even founded until the 1920's and won sod all till the Revie era. They didn't even appear in their first FA Cup Final till 1965 and have only won the FA Cup once in 1972 (same as us). Granted they've won a couple of top flight titles and a Fairs Cup but I would have thought both sets of dee-dars had an overall better track record. (can't be arsed to check) and have been around a lot longer.
Your pikey mate is talking ********. They weren't even elected to the league (Div 3 North) till the 1920's. We'd been in the 2nd Division for over 20 years by then. They've also never been to an FA Cup Final never mind win it. Never been in the Premier League and to add to that they been relegated to the Conference
