A small plane has crashed into a building in New York City's Upper East Side, causing a serious fire. TV pictures show flames and smoke coming out of the high-rise building on Manhattan island. The FBI has told the BBC that there is no indication that the crash is terrorism-related. A Fire Department spokeswoman said the aircraft struck the 20th floor of a building on East 72nd Street. Witnesses told the Associated Press news agency the crash caused a loud noise, and burning and falling debris was seen. So how does the aircraft not miss something so big ? Afterall the pilot will have been knowing what he was doing to fly the plane. Isn't it abit suspicous how the guy flying it just happens to go into the middle of the building which would cause most damage ? The whole thing seems odd so i just hope this isn't another terrorist attack. I don't see it being one because the choice of building isn't exactly good.
Put Sky news on an hour ago and thought Helicopter straight away Its been confirmed to be a 'fixed wing aircraft; basically something small like a 4 seater plane. Nothing suspicious really, anyone who has been to NYC will tell you the East & West sides of Manhatten island are very busy with light aircraft all day, whether it be site seeing, buisness or airport shuttle. Just looks like a bad mistake,if you lose control of a aircraft or something goes wrong along the East River chances are you are going to hit a high rise building as Manhatten is extremely dense with skyscrapers
Numerous things - he could lose control due to a technical failure, the pilot could ahve had heart attact. Suspect if they've already ruled out a terrorist attack then its unlikely to be one.
Fox News reporting that pilot radioed to say had mechanical failure and they are already discussing that this could be a massive law suit against the plane manufactures or someone to do with the mechanics due to the massive earning potential that Lidle would have!
