Do we carry on with Hecky and look to appoint in the summer, or appointment now and start looking to build for next season early?

Got to be the latter for me.

You sure? I can't recall the club saying that was official?

"Man bases future of club upon one result" shocker.

If we'd won it'd have been "Hecky's a hero - keep him for ever"

I'm sure you've mentioned that twice over the last couple of days? I'll take your word for it.

You wasn't the lad who said Millwall would bring over a 1000 are you lol?

    How wrong you are Tyrone.

Do you not understand that if a team keeps on wining their games, like we have until today, then such team will finish well within the top 6?

    Anyway...

Your post may be talking personally of your own dreams of course.

I hope your dreams subsequent to October were nice ones!

The future is looking extremely likely that we'll be in League One again next year.

I kinda get the impression the board will appoint an experienced manager at some point between now and the summer though. Don't you?

If they do, why delay the inevitable? Might as well get the man we want in now and start rebuilding for next season.

    I get the opposite impression!

Think the board will stick with hecky.

Come the summer, the new manager/ head coach, be it hecky or not , will have to fully buy in to the club's strategy.

I'd rather hope that we give the present temporary incumbents a chance.

The last coach was not an "experienced manager" and I do not think we're looking for one now.

If you think "the inevitable" is starting all over again with yet another "name" coming in and dismantling whatever we've got, then fair enough.

I think we've got summat going for us at the moment, and want to see what happens with it.

The next seven days are effectively Hecky's job interview. I posted yesterday that there'd be a blip. Sending out a winning team is easy - just keep them fit and the momentum & confidence does the rest. It's how he, and the team, deal with this minor setback over the next week that will define our season.

Be it Hecky or not, PC & co have 6 months to make a decision. There's no rush as we're just about safe Relegation wise and Wembley is a nice diversion not to be spoiled. Everyone can take their time to make sure we get it right and it gives Hecky a chance to stake his claim without having to look over his shoulder. All in all we're not in a bad place so for once let's not panic.

If we'd won today we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
