but won, funny really I thought this was a result driven business so does it matter how we win? Would fans moan if England won the world cup with that performance, do we have the luxary of Chelsea to sack a manger for not playing entertaining football like they did with Grant? Do Chelsea fan disregard their two prem wins because they were boring to watch at times? Do Man U fans think they do not deserve the 1999 european cup becasue Bayern battered them? The sign of a good team is one that can win when playing crap its called character! Some fans will just not give Davey any credit whatsoever and would rather he failed than the club do well
It is indeed a results business.
However I imagine England would get hammered if they ground out a World cup where they won every game in the knockout stages on penalties after 0-0 draws.

oh, come on, there's blind support and then there's just blind.! The sign of a lucky team is one that played as crap as we did last night and just happened to be playing the worst team in the league at the time. As mentioned by many already, if we turned out that display against any other side in the league we would have lost, and rightly so. I'm happy to take the win, and hope for better at Charlton, but lets keep some sense of perspective! (clap)
that was a tongue in cheek comment I'm not blind but at the same time I'll take a win any day over playing well, some fans will not accept either from SD simple as that. To say we would have lost to any other side is a harsh comment as nobody can gaurentee that and to say we played the worst team in the league makes no difference surely all that counts is a win. The fact is when we win it is still not good enough for some fans, we manage to come up with excuses WHY we won which is unreal and people wonder why bfc fans get branded as fickle!
