Some really nice passing football and the majority of the possession. The question is how do we convert all that possession in to victory?

It doesn't take a genius to work out our problem: it is, has been and will be scoring goals. Our players have scored just four times this season and I'll be surprised if the starting line-up will have more than 20 goals between them by seasons end. That isn't going to be nearly enough.

The likelihood is that Watford will be one of the poorer sides to visit Oakwell this season. We've got to find a way of beating those types of sides. Maybe having more than 1 striker on the pitch from the start of the game will help us do that? Although I understand that Haynes was originally selected in the starting 11. Was he injured in the warm up?

Having said all that we did play well and it was enjoyable to watch. We just need a cutting edge.

Haynes should have played instead of Park, he pulled his hamstring warming up apparently.
We dont get enough people into the danger areas when we attack. Play well but dont look like scoring enough goals.

We had loads of chances today. Poor finishing and one poor piece of defending cost us today, on another day we would have won easily. Fine margins but we are close to getting it right.

I think that's a fair comment. As I said earlier, once Davies and Haynes are fit, that may solve the problem.

Davies & Haynes to come back into the squad, Vaz Te will get sharper, and the loan market is there too.

The most promising thing for me is the midfield 3. Nobody is going to get an easy game against us with Drinkwater and Perkins buzzing around, and Butterfield providing a threat on the break.

Just a shame Butterfield is slow, he'd be such more of a threat with a bit of pace.

Spot on MM. Once we sort a cutting edge out we're going to be a very good side. Very well played today.
