One of the better performances of the season. We showed lots of fight, had far better chances and were unlucky to come away with nothing. If we play like that against Cardiff we will win. The problem is performances like today don't happen often enough.

You couldn't see the gulf in experience, transfer fees and salaries. I expected us to collapse conceding so early, but we didn't. Cole ran all afternoon, Wolfe looked good and the only thing between the sides was a rare Collins mistake. Great to see Marsh get on and play well including a shot on target within seconds.

Credit to the away fans joining in about Conman.

Exactly what we said at half time.

But still lost and gave away a comical goal. We had twice as many shots on target and still couldn’t score. It was a much better performance, but still wasn’t good enough.

I agree we played much better, especially 2nd half. But let's be honest, we were let off the hook by Bournemouth today. Solanke should have had a hatrick and Bournemouth should have been out of sight at half time. There's positives to take, but we were never going to win that game.

I'm afraid not, if we play like that against Cardiff we still won't score, so therefore can't win.

Play like that against Cardiff and we have a good chance to win. We may not, but playing like we did today gives us a chance of winning any game. The lads showed fight and spirit. I doubt very much we can amass enough points to stay up but there's little point in running down what the boys did today.

Bournemouth didn't play well because the grass was too long. I kid you not.

How much of today's performance can we put down to Poya's absence?

I thought that. The press conference midweek gave the idea that his assistant actually has a spine - and today's performance backed that up.

Agree with this, much better in second half and far more fight. For once I came away feeling less despondent.

Maybe you should lower your expectations given the current situation?

I’d like a pint of what you’ve had if it makes todays performance ‘played well today’. Bournemouth we’re completely out of sort’s, especially their final ball and shooting, but like most other sides we’ played they won comfortably without breaking sweat. Wolf and Marsh can hold their heads high but generally we put no pressure on the opposition. The goal we conceded was another shambles. We’ve got no creativity and mostly able about aimlessly without causing any threat. When we do on the odd occasion win the ball back we give it straight back. Our forward play is non existent. I accept football is all about opinions but to say we played well is stretching it a bit.
