Player commentary team sound disappointed even with the draw we nicked

Sounds like we should have won it comfortably, Harewood seemed to be in two or three times in the first half but failed to take the chances.

Even so, think you've got to say a point away at Ipswich after a bit of a revival under Mick McCarthy is a good point.

 

I'm quite happy with that a point today. Wednesday could have gone another 3 points clear of us.

 

Sounded like we had some really good chances in the first half and really should have been in front. But we weren't in it for the opening half hour of the second half. A draw sounded like a fair result in the end.

 

Getting a striker in before the next league game has got to be top priority. I'd give Rose a start against Hull in the cup, see what he can do - he's shown himself to be a great poacher even if he is a bit lightweight.

 

First 10 minutes they were all over us. Dawson's injury (looked like his knee to me) gave us a bit of a breather. We dominated after that and marlon missed two one-on-ones. The second wasn't a bad effort and hit the pOst. Ipswich also blazed a gift over from close range. 2nd half different story and ipswich dominated posession and had more chances - usually from scrappy stuff where we struggled to clear the ball. The goal came from a Similar situation. The best chance was a dagnall header from the edge of the box which whistled past the post with Loach beaten. A lack of quality, and at times urgency meant Ipswich looked good for the points. Then up pops danny rose with that rarest of specimens - a barnsley headed goal from a corner! For a small lad, he won every single header - at least 5 or 6. Well done lads!

 

Well done Rosey, will have done our team and his confidence good. As long as we keep picking points up. With regards our commentary team they are a fukcing miserable lot at the best of times particularly Parker. If we were winning 6-0 he would be dissatisfied

Barnsley Player is piss poor, rather listen to radio Sheffield. Did not get in while 4.30 today, so if Parker wasn't on I did not miss him. Bet it was brilliant if he was not on
