Of permanent staff Phillips. But McAtee deserves it.

    Pines? How?

He made 4 appearances and played 300 minutes. We conceded five in the three games he started.

I like the look of him too, I really do, but to say he’s the player of the season is an unfair attack on players that have actually contributed to the whole season - even if only in patches.

Yeah in my opinion that’s a barmy number 1 pick. He seems to have a bit of a cult following and I think he’ll be good next season but he wouldn’t even be in my thoughts to consider him for this season.

Voted a while ago but can’t remember who I voted for. It was between Kane and McAtee and I’m leaning a bit more towards the latter.

Kane frustrates me on occasion but he was probably our best player in the first half of the season. McAtee has been a bit more up and down throughout. Phillips isn’t a bad shout but he was nowhere in the first half of the season. Roberts and Cole were both great in the first half of the season but have faded. MDG seems to have a lot of plaudits but I don’t think he should be chosen.

We also gained 10 points out of 12 in the games he played in, depends how you spin it.

Hasn't played enough games to be player of the season though.

    John Russell for me.

He looks great in the air ,especially from set pieces.
When he as the ball at his feet ,I close my eyes.
A lot to learn , he as time on his hands ,we have good coaches at our club.

Even if it was 12/12 you surely can’t give player of the year for three starts and a 30 minute cameo?

Russell is a fairer shout though even he has started only half the games - and in my opinion has been relatively poor in the majority of those and very poor in several, just two or three away games I thought he looked good in. But he’s been in and around the team all year.

Nobody consistently outstanding this season, even though he's dropped off lately I would still give it to Kane.

Seem to have missed the vote somehow. Macatee for me overall. At least he's the one I've enjoyed watching the most and has been present all season!

No way De Gevigney’s won it. Surely not. Our fans can’t be that clueless
