RE: mine Do you honestly fail to see that the indecision in the defence is largely down to the goalkeeper?
RE: I'd say... I thought overall that we didn't defend too badly today, the only really dodgy moments came when Colgan failed to call for balls he came for, or wasn't loud enough at any rate.
Burns Im in agreement with you m8 he did all McPhails spadework, broke down opposing attacks and got forward and had the keeper at full stretch. A proper box to box man yesterday!
RE: Burns He's not noted for getting forward, but he did that consistently yesterday. He was easily MOTM. There will be some severe competiton for places in midfield. My feeling is that Ritchie is looking for midfield players to weigh in with a few more goals in order to stay in the team. Burns was looking to score yesterday (in addition to the "un-noticed" stuff he does EVERY week).
RE: Burns I just hope that when Kell is fit, he is as good as Burns is, or better, because you can be sure that he will be the one left out to make room for Kell. We couldn't possibly leave out the "class player" could we.
Mine Would Be... Colgan - 6 Austin - 7 Carbon- 7 Reid- 7 Tonge- 7 Shuker- 6 Burns - 7 McPhail - 7 Williams - 7 Hayes - 7 (for playing upfront on his own...) Conlon- 5
