Davies - 8 - one of his best games this season and made some very important saves/interceptions- distribution at times let him down

Cavare - 5 - Decision making abysmal - very good offensively but a liability defensively and all over the place positionally - cost us the 1st goal and tried to gift it to them again near the end

Pinnock - 9 - Deservedly received motm - going from strength to strength this lad - do well to keep hold of him on this form

Lindsay - 8 - Put a shift in and went about his business today - prone to switching off but covered well today - distribution not his strong point

Pinillos - 7 - Til the substitution he ran the channels well - I’m not his biggest fan but he stood up okay today and made some timely interceptions as well putting some decent crosses in

Bahre - 6 - One of the better players first half, polar opposite second - what he was doing when he was dispossessed in the middle before Doncaster nearly scored is beyond me? Tried to make things happen but was consistently losing the ball

McGeehan - 5 - woeful performance - gave the ball away time and time again - won a few tackles but offered nothing else except to Donnys expense

Potts - 4 - Not at the races today and everything he tried didn’t come off- offered no support to Cavare whatsoever

Hedges - 4 - in my opinion the worst player on the park today - offered very little going forward and absolutely nothing in the defensive half. Lost the ball in vital areas time and time again

Mowatt - 7 - Ran is balls off and tried to pull the strings but was constantly running towards his own goal as the ball wouldn’t stick up top - not his best game but not his worse due to those round him

Moore - 5 - One of his worst games for a while - needs some shooting practice as well as learning the basics again after today - put the effort in but looked clumsy - ball needs to stick better and someone of his size should be winning every header

Woodrow - 7 - this lad is a class act - should’ve started the game - his positional sense and finishing is one of the best I’ve seen in a barnsley shirt for sometime

Moncur - 7 - Constantly ran at the opposition and looked our most dangerous player when he came on - made things happen - wish this guy could do it for a full 90 mins

Thiam - 4 - Don’t get the hype with this guy - lacking a football brain is all i can say about him

In a nutshell we weren’t at the races today but that’s not taking it away from our pikey friends, best team to come to oakwell this season so far - they pressed better than us - used the ball better and managed the game with far more experience. They were hungrier and won the second balls. It’s a one off I’m sure and let’s hope we show up on Tuesday night.

How long did thiam even have on the pitch? You don't get the thiam hype well can you explain the bahre one? Got knows how many appearances 0 goals 0 assists 6 is very generous.

Thiam could’ve played 90 mins and given the same input

Admittedly bahre made some mistakes today but he did his best to make things happen - I wouldn’t say he was the worst player on the park

Bahre was comfortably the best Barnsley player in the first half but he was comfortably the worst in the second half & there was some serious competition from Cavare.

    Bizarre performance from him.

The two centre backs were outstanding & both saved us several times. It isn’t easy playing centre back for us because the full backs push on & the central midfielders are converted attacking midfielders so fair play to them. Outstanding.

Davies got a bit of stick around for me for his heavy touch where he ended up having to blast it into the stand but his distribution was much improved today. A couple of excellent balls out to Cavare & some good ones to Moore & Hedges too.

Potts & McGeehan dreadful, Hedges & Pinilos average at best. Mowatt ok but far from his best.

Cavare must’ve got on the beers with Bahre at half time, dreadful second half. God knows why he turned back inside after doing the hard bit & how he managed to end up the wrong side of goal twice near the end when initially his positioning was fine is beyond me

Hedges really is a strange one. Good off the bench but rarely a good first team starter.

I think today was possibly his worst performance for us.

Pinnock was comfortably the best player 1st half and second by some way for me that's my opinion. Hedges was awful.

Almost exactly as I saw it. Although think Cavare was easily the worst in the second half.

Barring the excellent block on Coppinger I didn’t think Pinnock had to do much first half, it was the last half hour I felt the centre backs had lots to deal with. Definitely deserved man of the match

He is fantastic. He has had some very good games but today he was the best player on the pitch by miles. I fear we will lose him in January.

The tackle he made when maquis i think it was got through 1st half was great would of been a almost certain goal he made up the ground with his pace and put the tackle in what would of been a pen if he got it wrong. I just couldn't put anyone infront of him for 1st half performances or 2nd one of the best center back displays for a long time for me. Few quid in them 2 center backs we have imo.

Look it’s merely an opinion and it’s not factual like some player rating on Fifa 19. I’ve based it on how I viewed it from my seat and by no means an hidden agenda

Football is made up of opinions and that’s what makes it so great

My opinion is that thiam has all the ability but no footballing brain and I’m yet to be convinced otherwise
