Steele - made a couple of good saves when the rest of the team dropped him in it. Came and claimed the ball well a couple of times, and only one kicking error of note. Not at fault for the goals. 7/10

Hunt - a bad day at the office. Lost the ball trying to take on 2 or 3 players every time he got it. Positionally not great, and failed to halt most attacks down his side if the pitch. 5/10

Kennedy - I don't like him, but I don't think he was particular at fault for anything. Didn't contribute much going forward. 6/10

M'voto - won everything in the air, and kept it simple on the ground. Usually conceded a throw or corner when under pressure, but better than conceding a goal. 6/10

Nyatanga - I didn't see what he was up to when the goals went in - quite possible his positioning was suspect. However, I thought he played alright and put in some essential last ditch tackles. 7/10

Lawrence - barely in the game and contributed nothing before being taken off. 5/10

Jennings - chased everything and showed some decent touches. One of the few players to show any attacking intent. 7/10

Mellis - played at walking pace, didn't seem particularly interested, and cost us the third goal when caught in possession. Booked for stupidity presumably. He clearly thinks he is a lot better than he actually is. 4/10

Dawson - an absolute shocker. A fresh air attempted clearance cost us the first goal (and effectively any hope of getting something from the game). I'm told it was also Dawson that played the suicidal cross-field pass that led to their second. Lots of huff and puff, but he lacked the pace or skill to make the most of time on the ball. 2/10

Frimpong - a couple of flashes of talent, but not sufficiently in the game for a midfielder. The high-speed chase after losing the ball has become his signature move. Bonus point for not getting booked. 5/10

Proschwitz - lacks the strength or mobility to play as a lone striker. Danny's fault not his. Hit the bar late on with a lob over the keeper, but generally ineffective. 5/10

Noble-Lazarus - good to see him getting a run out. Looked alright considering it was a short run out. 6/10

O'Grady - brought some much-needed strength up front. Ballooned his only attempt at goal. It was an awkward height, but I expected better. 6/10

Agree in all cases other than about MVoto. Thought he was shocking, first touch gave away an unnecessary corner and didn't get much better after that. Had Nyatanga across doing his job covering his half because he didn't know where he was. I don't like to criticise players, but he was not good yesterday and between him and Dawson we really were carrying top weight.

I think a mention for Wilson is also appropriate and I am his biggest fan, but there was no evidence that he's got anyone in the team playing for the shirt. Don't know what Mickey Melon does, but I wonder whether he and Danny are really a team.

I seriously don't know why or how Mellis keeps getting a game.

Unfortunately no but with Mellis we have better options on the bench.

Pretty generous with them ratings , only Jennings, Steele, ogrady and Lazarus would av scored more than 4 for me . A shocking performance and very little effort
