According to bournemouth bbs, we could be nicking one of their players... supposedly. http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=913&p=16&style=2&forumId=6446&action=1&replytoid=533090323
RE: He's an islander, so can't see him moving this far north n/t So was Gareth Williams, if memory serves. Also Darren Foreman was from Southampton, so I suspect that distance won't be too much of an issue, assuming the deal is right for him.
Wouldn't see a problem Can fly to the IoW from Leeds/Bradford, maybe even the new Pikey Airport will do that route.
Ritchie preparing bid for Hayter - Sky Sports http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=348466&CPID=11&clid=&lid=5&title=Tykes+consider+Hayter+bid
where will we get £100k from? loada ****** if ya ask me. we don't have 100k especially after the hayes tribunal
RE: where will we get £100k from? sure I read somewhere that GS said that their is some money, but its not endless, and anything that ritchie puts forward would be considered/looked at. so to me that would say, that 100K is not a "no-go" area. but something on the lines of 500K + might be. Anyway, put yourself in the shoes of a millionaire fan. Would 100K be completely unreasonable to "chip in" if it could mean the difference between Championship and Div 1? this signing and watt to return in january would give us the extra Striker and Defender that most people state we need to be serious contenders.. I say, go for it, according to the latest odds, he is about 6-1 (3rd or 4th Fav.) to finish top scorer, so he can't be that bad.. Fingers Crossed, and then the lazy sods will have to wake up or be dropped... (saying that, Nads is always dropped anyway) so that will mean wake up hays
Maybe, maybe not Haven't both Gordon Richards & Patrick Cryne been reported earlier in the year as saying if Andy Ritchie spoke to them of someone he particularly needed/wanted to sign then they would push the boat out in exceptional circumstances. Given that we are occupying a play off spot at the midway stage of the season (I certainly wasn't expecting us to be so well placed) and are currently only managing to put away around 10% of the chances we're creating, I'd say these are such circumstances and, if there is any truth in the rumour and, assuming the player wants to come, I'd say the boat is there to be pushed.
Yeah, good point but who is Gordon Richards? Gordon Shepherd's PA?</p> <font style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff00" color="#0000ff">Lets get the player that may well net the chances we are creating, and missing!</font> </p>
Can Afford Him Easily... because we budgeted for first round defeats in the two main cup competitions. so basically two matches. so... 2 league cup matches 1 ldv vans match 4th fa cup match on its way sky money for forest match thats 5 extra matches of cash plus sky money. plus if we beat walsall then ANOTHER match of cash they didnt budget for. i think we can afford £100,000 peace of piss.
why not... increase the prices of tickets oops! NOBODY BITE, It was meant as a complete joke to the ticket price increase/decrease arguments a couple of weeks back!!!
We can't afford Hayter...........but I know a man who can Pat Cryne £100k to the guy who owns the club is nothing It's like me or thee spending an extra £15 on an extra set of fairy lights Pat Cryne has built a company worth c£1 BILLION (which is nice) Not even Pat Cryne knows how much he is worth Good look to the guy cos he built it up from nowt, which I think is mighty impressive
One thing to consider. A number of clubs, including Champuionship clubs are interested in Hayter. If you bid £100k they will (hopefully) bid more. We don't want to lose him, but a bidding war would suit us fine. How high do you reckon you can go?
