Jeremy Christie played 10 games for Barnsley, and he from New Zealand, plays for FC Tampa Bay in the USA

Didn't think he actually played for barnsley. Forgot he was from new Zealand given he spent a lot of time here along with Rory and Leo. I honestly can't think of many in recent years local lads who have gone else where. There is a couple from barnsley at the blunts
It was Steve Daley from Cudworth not Gerry1st £1.5 mill player a few more. Alan Woodward, Mick Speight (Blunts) Billy Whitehurst (Thurnscoe, many from there consider themselves as Barnsley)
Re: It was Steve Daley from Cudworth not Gerry1st £1.5 mill player a few more. Allan Hill, another forrest goalie.
Yes Thurnscoe is in the Barnsley district....as is Goldthorpe and Bolton upon Dearne Everybody there knows that they are in the Barnsley district
Re: Yes Thurnscoe is in the Barnsley district....as is Goldthorpe and Bolton upon Dea Yes I know it comes unber BMBC, but its a Rotherham address and TV people tend to say Thurnscoe near Rotherham. I worked at Houghton Main Pit and they were a lot from Thurnscoe there. They either supported the Reds or Fowls. I would guess at a 60-40 split in favour of the Reds. Incidentally, father-in law hails from Thurnscoe and he used to watch Donny in his younger days.
Re: Yes Thurnscoe is in the Barnsley district....as is Goldthorpe and Bolton upon Dea Lee Mills, well Mexboro near enough.
