After yesterdays performance im stating the obvious by saying we need players in. Dont get me wrong i think weve a gud crop just missing pace up front,sum1 who can get in the channels.for me a pacy winger too. Sum1 who can pick the ball up n terrify full backs. We just dont have that. Apart from that i think were decent

I think everyone (including Flicker) knows that we need a pacy striker. Our winger who can terrify defenders is presumably Jennings, although I appreciate that you probably want them to be scared by excellent ball skills rather than horror challenges.

Yeah, but that's just stupid mistakes and set pieces. I'm starting to think that we could spend hundreds of millions on the world's best defenders, be pushing season after season for European honours and still not be able to defend corners properly. Maybe it's just too deeply ingrained into the DNA of the club.

If you'd put Paolo Maldini in his prime in a Barnsley shirt he'd immediately have forgotten how to close down the opposition and inexplicably been found out of position at least twice per game.

I keep hearing that Digby is a huge talent, maybe needs 50-100 Championship games and then he'll be a Premier League player. When he is fit, we could do with him in that there midfield. Mellis behind the strikers in a central advanced role, with Perkins/Etuhu/Digby (pick your 2) holding the midfield.

I would also consider bringing in a striker who just stands in the box and puts the ball in the back of the net. 15 goals, job done.

Only a week ago I heard alot off fans on here saying it is the best squad we've had for years! Now your asking for even more players? Like who? Dagnall was never going to be a option! So it was obvious we would need another striker. Haven't seen cofie play so I won't make a decision on him but can't see him being able to step up to the plate for 40 odd games

I still think this is our best squad for years, it's not huge but it is deep with many players looking relatively comfortable in a number of positions. No offence to the strikers we've got, they always work their balls of, but we've been crying out for a quality striker for years.

We have dominated games over the years but still failed to win and on many occasions lost...the sides that do well are the ones that have bad games yet they have strikers who only need one opportunity to score. How many times have we seen teams come to Oakwell and look poor yet their strikers get one chance a piece and score.
