    I dont think any of those 3 are worth signing really. Connelly and Vassell have not shown anything really over the last couple of years and I reckon Carlisle will concentrate more on the PFA thing.

    If the salaries expected by the strikers are within budget

    Then those two certainly meet the criteria of Championship experienced players that the club are supposedly targeting.

    I wouldn't mind Robbie Blake, either

    The likes of Rose, RNL & Clark could really learn from training and playing alongside him.

    Even if they can't reach the heights of yesteryear

    I still think they'd improve the present squad.

    I'd definitely take Blake & Mellis and possibly Carlisle/Vassel. All very good players in their prime, could the maverick that is Keith Hill turn him into the players they once were?
