My biggest worry is that I am not convinced the players will play for Davey. Can't tell whether that is a backlash against the Ritchie situation or the imposing of a more strict regime or both Someone else posted to the effect that without the players support, noone will make a success of it I know that if I was getting a good salary every week, I'd feel a little honour bound to put some bloody effort in !!
They were not playing for the last 10 of AR's tenure 4 points from 10 games. I dont fall for all that "we were playing great football" crap because we just were not doing that apart from a couple of games / largely 45 mins at best. We were losing and sinking faster than the titanic.
They did as we took 10 points from the next 7 games. Suspensions, injuries took their toll. Not convinced at all that Davey was the right man but AR had lost it and had to go. Time to move on FFS.
