all the good ones. Players that will stay even if we go down: The Deadwood and kids. Survival in the Championship has never been so important. Perkins, Mellis and Dawson have the makings of THE best midfield 3 in the Championship next year. They wont be playing for us in League 1. Squeaky bum.
There has been a lot of 'dead wood' playing very well lately. Players that 80% of people on here wanted gone in January.
Perkins, Mellis and Dawson are the three I worry about most if we go down. They will be very sought after by Championship clubs and I just hope we wouldn't bend over and let more than one of them leave as they'd be head and shoulders above the rest in League One. Beyond that, it's difficult to see us retaining Steele, Cranie and Scotland if relegated, and there won't be room for the 'flag players' who are only unfurled on public holidays, e.g. Cywka.
Warriver appens Steele, Crainie, Dawson, Mellis, COG, Scotland, Dagnall, Etuhu, Marlon, and the management team are all out of contract if I recall correctly. So the 'off field' management has a very big job on. However, the Davies fee earnt from the non existant, oh sorry there it is release clause and the indecently hasty selling of the best defensive prospect in a generation should aid their efforts in securing our best laikers on longer than 10 minute contracts and 10 bob a week in my opinion.
Re: Warriver appens Don't think Mellis, Dawson or Dagnall are out of contract. Got another year, along with Perkins, Wiseman and O'Brien.
Players that will go down if we go down: might be more apt given the startling (non) revelation in that other post ! !
Re: Warriver appens Indeed. But I'd still be offering those 3 in midfield another year or 2 on top. Should we stay up. (when we stay up)
I've took the credit for Wiseman. In fact, it's 'Wisey' now. My avatar did the trick. I also reckon by touching Daggers at Rochdale that I did summat magic to him. So there.
