Sick to death of seeing that we are favourites for the drop at mst bookies....

is there any way we can bet against what they are saying...

ie we are favourites for the drop, so can I find something that says, ok, I bet that they won't go down...

Yep! Get on Betfair.com and "lay" the odds. Someone has to accept your bet though....

You can either lay against relegation at places like Betfair (but not great odds) or go the spread betting route.

The predicted points totals should be released just before season starts and I'll bet Barnsley's won't be much over 40 unless the bookies do their homework.

    Re Spread betting

You will probably find the quote will be at least 50 for Barnsley. Last season it as 48.5 - 50.5 and we were expected to be relegated (can't remenber what bottom quote was exactly, but i think it was Colchester at about 46.5 - 48.5. So even the poor teams will have original quotes above 45 points

Last year I bought Barnsley at 50.5 and sold them 2 games before end for 52, so made a small profit. I also bought Cardiff at 60.5 and sold them for about 84 when they were running away with league. I also bet Derby to do badly, and Brentford to do well (so wiped out all my profits !!!)
