Sam Togwell is made for that role, obviously another one thats not the flavour of the month. What did he do wrong in training?? criticise ryan kidds underpants?

I was surprised , but Hassell did all right.

Giving everyone else a free role behind Coulson in the 1st half was an interesting tactic.

However we didnt look like threatening their goal until we went more direct in the 2nd half.

how on earth is togwell made for that role? He is a headless chicken who cannot pass. He leaves a big hole in the middle of the park whenver there is a counter. He cant help but follow the ball. Hassell is calm and a good distributor

    De Silva in that role?

    If he returns?
Though Hassell would do well in that role seeing as he's an excellent reader of the game.

    Maybe

Hassell is a good footballer, but Davey gave Togwell a contract extension and he also signed Johnson in the summer. It seems he doesn't trust either of them to do a job for him in the midfield.

Instead, he accomodates someone (Hassell) who can't even get into the team in his "own" position. By Davey's own admission, it's not as though the other defenders are doing well is it?

Maybe he figured Hassell might be more useful when defending set plays.

I thought Hassell did Ok in the 1st half , however when we wne to 4 in midfield in the 2nd it wasn't so good.

He didnt do badly at all

Probably did better than Togwell would have to be honest

just as good a stopper and better distribution

No where near as daft an idea as the Robbie Williams one
