    Was it a mistake?
Don't think Golbourne or wiseman did alot wrong, but beausojour was a handful, and as a result wiseman never got forward. We had no width, and ended up lumping it forward.

Just wonder if more traditional wide players from the start might have pushed them on the back foot a bit.

The mistake was not playing wing backs.

We didn't play with wing backs, Golborne was in mf.

That was indeed a mistake then, cos Golbourne was also pegged way back for a lot of the game. Looked to me like he was playing wing back. He's not a midfielder for me. He's lb or wb.

He was LM, Mellis on the right, Dawson and Perkins in middle. Didn't work, should have had 5 across midfield, maybe 451 with Daggers missing out, try and get Mellis up in support.

We did play with wing-backs to start ...but Wigan kept finding space in behind, especially down Wisemans side...so the formation changed to 442 which also dint work cos it put Mellis and golbourne wide with Mellis our only creative player inaffective...Thus leaving Dawson and Perkins in the middle alone and exposed/not good enough or out played by better players....and so we had little or nowt going forward....thats what happened...sure Wigan wunt have got 4 if we'd had all 11 on the field....But at least our expectations may be a little more realistic after today though...

No. It was 4-4-2 from first minute

Goldy in front of TK down the left and Mellis in front of Wiseman down the right.

Wrong decision in my view, as many have already stated.

I thought when I saw the team it would be wing backs with Wiseman RWB. I was happy with this as it allows Mellis to get forward in the middle. I didn't like the selection to start with and it should have been changed to wing backs after 20 mins as Wigan was on top all game!

    Wrong mate.

At no point was Kennedy playing centrally. Always LB.

Fair enough mate haha but at KO we were lined up in a perfect, flat 442 and I didn't notice a change if I'm honest.

Goldy were standing on Kennedy`s toes in first five minutes, both looking bemused as to who should be where.

We played 442. No wing backs. That's a big part of what fecked us in midfield, in my opinion.

It was 442 from 3pm onwards. And it was the only reason we got dicked 4-0.

That's not to say we'd have won or owt had we played 352, but setting up like we did just handed them the game.

But Flicker and co are new to this game and will make mistakes.
