Horrendous. 9 games 7 defeats. Yes and I know you kept us up last year but that's because you didn't have to think and just knew every game we had to win. Lets also not forget we didn't beat Huddersfield last game when we needed to and actually stayed up due to Peterborough conceding a free kick which wasn't and then a lucky goal from palace. LETS GET A MANAGER WHO WILL PLAY THE CORRECT TACTICS AND PLAYERS IN THE CORRECT POSITIONS.

Which manager would I choose? Do you know what id sooner have 95% of people on this board as the new manager because everyone on here knows who not to play and which formation not to use. The only person who doesn't is Flicker.

Wilson would do better, he built a spine to the team which was successful. Warnock, record speaks for itself but he doesn't want to return to the game. Megson has a decent record, Ince was available last time and look at him now, Robins is doing well at Hudds which is our loss, Personally id go get Mick Mcarthy.... Without seeing a list of whos available its not straight forward. However facts are Flicker is a clone of Hill.

Wilson Always respect him for what he did for the club but that's in the past and his record since isn't too pretty.

    Warnock Wouldn't come to us

Megson Would honestly rather keep Flitcroft

Ince, Robins, Mcarthy Not available and wouldn't come here if they were.. so why bother mentioning them

So in a list of 6 you've posted 4 that wouldn't come and 2 that would probably not do much better than we are doing. I also question if Wilson would return to be honest.

SO I'll ask you again, who that would get us doing well and would be willing to come is available, not forgetting the list of managers that didn't want to know last January setting the tone for the dross we could attract.

What I don't get is you go into a game with the aim of getting 3 points.

What is the difference between having tfootball.n now and in the closing months.

I've heard the phrase tubthumping football which is what kept us up.

But teams who do well in a season are the ones who are up for it from start to finish with so called tubthumping foot

Got to be Barnsleys answer to Brian the Blade..........on Football Heavan he said summert like...........'McCabe needs to go out and sign Martin O'Neil as manager'
LOL.............they couldn't get anyone to manage that club last time they advertised it

If Barnsley got rid of Flicka then they would be looking as always to promote a manager from the lower leagues
AND........when you look at the lower leagues I cannot see us getting a better management team than the one we have now

Read what u put about Wilson??? Does that not sound familiar? The past is the past and that should be left there. It's the future that counts and under flicker we ant got 1! There will be plenty of managers out there that we can get! Don't act like a 2 year old and say who, who?

Let's be honest about it we don't know who we could attract now do we? There are differences to when Hill was sacked, there are more games left and we have an astute board. I want Flicker to succeed but that's starting to look unlikely now so if he is sacked I think we'll be reasonably impressed with his replacement. I don't think any of the names mentioned so far would be considered or approached.

Hopefully we give flitcroft time and he realises to go back to last years approach , why can't we play a pressing and attacking game all season , players are fit and we av enough players to rotate if they can't play it all season

I think he has every right to ask who could replace Flicker

Anyone can shout "Sack the manager".

Suggesting a viable alternative is a lot more difficult.
