Is it Robins or Robbins? Different websites use both spellings. The newest stuff on him spell it Robins, but older articles from his Manchester United days say Robbins
google is best If you type in mark robins it says 'Did you mean: mark robbins'. Click on that and it'll search for mark robbins. The results? random other person Mark Robins - Manager of the month random other person random other person News results for mark robbins BBC Sport Rotherham United boss Mark Robins at Barnsley Rotherham United - Mark Robins is still not a Merry Miller so basically if you search for mark robins google says you should be searching for mark robbins and if you search for robbins it brings up a load of results for robins. great
It doesn't matter except if you put Robbins you'll get hounded by the spelling police. ROBINS as far as I know. Apart from anything else the other just looks wrong.
RE: google is best So i have no answer! I thought it was Robbins. He's on Man Utd past player list with double bb. Like you say google is strange as it can't make it's mind up which one is right
RE: It doesn't matter It DOES matter if i'm wrong as i will owe Doddy a packet of pork scratchings I'm sure it's Robbins.
I thought it was Robbins too But I've seen both over the years. However, on the RUFC website it says "Robins" http://www.themillers.co.uk/page/WhosWho/0,,10360~158978,00.html I assume they know how to spell it, so I must be wrong, as usual.
Well Sorry to say but I'm with Doddy.... Robins. If in doubt look on the BBC. They do get it wrong from time to time, but make more effort than most organisations do, not to.
RE: I thought it was Robbins too I saw that too. All the recent articles have one b and old ones from MUFC have two b's (dunno)
RE: I thought it was Robbins too I'm still not sure. I remember (as you say) when he played for Man U it was definitely spelt "Robbins" because I remember thinking at the time that it was a strange spelling. I suppose we will find out for sure once he joins us.................. Anyway, I'm sure you can share the bag of scratchings some time, as a compromise.
Maybe we should just call him Gordon Or the bloke that saved Fergies job http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Robins
Proof for the double bb's!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MARK-ROBBINS-...s_CV?hash=item23009f106c&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Nice Research I've zoomed in and and out on the signed photo, and still can't decide. At the moment I would say you are entitled to keep the scratchings but give Doddy (or is it Dody?) one or two of them if he insists.
RE: Have you had a look at the signature? Yep, can make out the Mark bit but after that no! I need proof it's double b, so that'll do!! Maybe he's changed the way he spells it
RE: Nice Research All that research to save from owing me a packet of pork scratchings</p> But i still think i am the winner as i said it "is RoBins" and not "was RoBBins"</p> So i win (neer) (neer) (neer) (neer) </p> </p> P.S. Cheers for the updates this last week. Will still need them from Monday as i go back. And to Fi aswell </p>
