Andy Cole in training at Wast Hills. Blues have today received the results of Andy Cole's scan on his hamstring problem. The scan shows that Cole has sustained a grade one (the smallest) tear to his hamstring. The injury is expected to keep him out for between seven and ten days from the time the injury occurred (last Friday March 30). This means that the on-loan Portsmouth striker is unlikely to play a part in Saturday's home game against Burnley, but he has a chance of being fit for Monday's trip to Barnsley. Cole injured himself in a tough training session last week, and speaking yesterday Blues boss Steve Bruce admitted he may have pushed the striker too hard. "Maybe I've got to look at myself a bit because the one thing we do in training here is work extremely hard and the boys really do put the effort in," said Bruce. "Maybe I asked too much of Andrew for his age. He just felt his hamstring and we weren't going to risk him."
