... because I'd swap winning the FA cup for maintaining Championship status... let's not take our eyes off the real prize

To be honest I'm seriously worried now that we will go down. I'm not going to be able to think of anything for the next month other than Wembley so how on earth will the players feel.
I think it's probably more like 8 or 9. but, IIRC, it was only 16 points at Christmas and it's now March and we still need half of them.
Wembly is a day out to me... if we get enough points to stay up in the next four games to stay up the I'll start to want to win the fa cup. If we win the fa cup and go down thennext January when we've been knocked out in the first round and we're getting crowds of 7k then we've lost the prize.
errr "if we get enough points to stay up in the next four games to stay up the I'll start to want to win the fa cup" You're pissed. Go to bed.
You can still want to win the FA Cup I'd rather us win it and get relegated, than not win it and get relegated.
It's not the sentiment mate It's the sentence structure. You're all over the place. Wasn't trying to offend you. Just being daft.
I really hope we're all but safe before the Semi So we're not worrying about that, absolutely. Surely if we can beat Liverpool and Chelsea the players can raise their game to win 3 more league games...? Surely. Please.
want to stay up and win it. but would rather stay up than win it. plus with the money from the semi would love to buy another winger and center mid. we will have a great squad next season if we stay up and keep the main men
fair enough I was only trying to make the point that to me, playing in the Championship is the priority.
RE: fair enough To be honest, I don't think I'll give the league a second thought until I go to the Ipswich game on Tuesday. At the moment I'm quite content to be away with the fairies.
quite right Jay, but as you have pointed out before, I'm an accountant and a miserable fecker so I worry about everything !!!!!
