Right - this isn't necessarily just 'He was expensive what for he did' - but overall, in the grand scheme of all the players you've ever been glad to see the back of -and I mean you get to rank your top three players who you were happy to see leave - how many of you would put Geogie Hristov in that catagory and were genuinely pleased to see leave?

    Your votes if you will.

    And Napoleon Dynamite (givinfinger)

Hristov was one of the players I was GUTTED to see leave, dunno about owt else. He seemed to be just settling in when we got shut. Very poor decision to get rid indeed. And although I think Bassett did well for us, he treated Georgi very unfairly. After going on a good scoring run (somethinbg like 5 goals in 5 games) he somehow found himself dropped for the next game.

    Oooh, well reasoned...

Tinkler was useless in the Premiership - did next to nothing except fall into delusions of grandeur what with all his talk of playing at Old Trafford...

Played reasonably well under Hendrie but nothing to write home about...

    Ooo arrr Eric Tin-ker-lar

Rubbish at first & nowhere near Premier quality but had become a useful player by the Wembley season. Shouldn't really be included in this thread, as shouldn't Georgi.

I too was a fan of Tinkler once he had settled.

Tough in the tackle. The sort of player I love to see in the middle of the park. Somethingw e are currently lacking, unfortunately. Something that REALLY would improve our team, im absolutely certain.

Was the engine room of the 99/00 team that got to Wembley. Some people have short memories.

I have memories of his serving a purpose that year, but it wasn't pretty.
