what was his yellow card about was it deserved, or not. Obviously I was not there, almost impossible nowadays, but from the text report on the BBC and the Player commentary, it seems we could have dropped on there with this lad. But if only his rash/impulsiveness could be ironed out.
so would you assume that maybe Danny has been able to get his head right ? Frimpong's that is. If so and we can hang on to him then we may have had a result. Lad I work with is a Gooner... and despite living near Cardiff he does go regular to watch them home and away. He has said he is maybe not top end prem... but certainly worthy of a decent prem side and absolutely good for the Championship
Re: what was his yellow card about There was no rash impulsiveness today mate, just quality break up play. It wasn't a yellow card challenge. Not a single other player on the pitch would have been carded for that. He's a marked man unfortunately.
Re: thankyou Jay Don't think I've seen a player win the ball as many times as Frimpong did today. Not sliding tackles and throwing himself in to challenges, just greater strength and better technique than the opposition allowing him to come away with the ball time and time again.
My man of the match!! Read the game really well, broke up play and generally controlled midfield. Would love to see his stats for the game.
Reminded me of Miles Addison's immense display against Leeds that time. Just bossed it. Frimpong'd it, in fact.
Was nice to see him applauding the fans as if he actually cared at the end too! After his tweet and his facial expression in the photo of him holding his shirt, I thought he was gonna see himself as too big for the club and put zero effort in. Oh, and after the Wednesday match!
I think that once he settles in to the level we play at he will be a very good player for us, just edged out of MOM by Jimbo, good performance.
My motm as will. The lad showed the right attitude today and has class. Jennings and Jimbo, great games. Steele played his part as well. Good team performance .
He's getting there, but needs a few more games to adjust to championship. More than I can say for Ready brek
Was excited when he signed, though he was useful at Arsenal although not to their level. Still can't shake the feeling that there is something more to his transfer though. Nothing sinister, just think that we have paid money for him, but not confirmed the amount, for a few months. Wouldn't be surprised if there is actually a 12 month contract, or longer, already signed if we stay up.
Re: thankyou Jay That's how I saw it too. That yellow was a bit of a strange one, just because the ref didn't seem to like giving cards at all, he let some awful fouls go uncarded.
